our Plant Engineering Team!The successful candidate will be part of
a Plant Engineering Team that maintains and operates building
infrastructure consisting of a variety of industrial spaces. These
include Office Areas, Closed DoD Space, and R&D Specialty Labs.
This position will report directly to one of the NCA Plant
Engineering Supervisors and will have a variety of Facility
Mechanic responsibilities along with good technical understanding
of the NH Hazardous Waste Rules. The selected candidate will work
in our downtown Nashua NH facility, which sits on 22 acres and has
approximately 680,000 square feet of office, lab and manufacturing
space.
- Installs, maintains, and dismantles a wide variety of facility
equipment. Must be capable of working from blueprints, equipment
drawings, schematics and manufactures specification and
literature.
- Performs a variety of tasks in controlling and monitoring of
chemicals and/or hazardous waste within the facility and/or
manufacturing production areas. The candidate shall ensure all
areas are in compliance in accordance with federal, state and local
regulations.
- Works independently and/or leads a group of workers to complete
assignments, renovations, fit-ups or repairs. Must be capable of
performing periodic maintenance inspection on all types of
facilities infrastructure and equipment.
- Must be well organized and capable of adhering to company
required inspection deadlines.
- Must have a great customer service demeanor and capable of
working with outside contractors and vendors.
- Must be capable and responsible for site inventories, hazardous
chemicals, and waste materials; characterization/determination
including proper segregation, containerizing, labeling and
preparing for shipment, in accordance with DOT and other
requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that all work is performed and
completed as specified by contract, engineering
drawings/specifications and applicable codes.
- Must be able to operate within a computerized maintenance work
order system. Qualitied candidate must be able to log work
performed, provide a brief explanation of the problem and summarize
what was replaced and or repaired.
- May be required to clean and service equipment that may contain
hazardous substances and to participate in the sorting and
accumulation of hazardous waste materials in accordance with the
Federal, State and Local regulators.
- Will be the sites liaison on notifying and working with our
local asbestos team for remediation and removal.
- May be required to participate on special teams including but
not limited to emergency and medical response teams, and willing to
participate in the on-call coverage for the facility.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.Required
Education, Experience, & Skills Requires a High School diploma, or
GED, and at least two (2) years of general maintenance
experience.
- Must have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and
reach for extended periods of time.
- Must be comfortable and able to occasionally work from
heights.
- Requires indoor as well as outdoor work in varying temperatures
and weather.
- Required to have or obtain a NH DES Hazardous Waste Certificate
within the first 12 months in the position.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.Preferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- NH DES Hazardous Waste Coordinator Certification, (4) years of
commercial/industrial experience.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary
Range: $62810 - $100540Please note: This range is based on our
market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined
by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
